The aim with the project is to identify hidden lithologies in the crust by examination of inherited minerals in coarse grained magmatic rocks [Gabbros, granites].From the inherited material we try to get as many parameters as possible about their origin like: P-T parameters, Fluid regime, Age [SIMS-analyses], Geochemical character and Isotope character. This data is used to construct models what has happened in the generation zone of the magmas, i.e. petrogenetic models based on direct observations from the earliest [also inherited] mineral assemblages. At this moment we concentrate our studies on proterozoic post- and anorogenic magmatic rocks in the Fennoscandian shield. The postorogenic rocks in the Fennoscandian shield form a shoshonitic rock serie comprizing lamprophyres, monzonites and porphyritic granites. The anorogenic rocks comprise rapakivi granites and a massive anorthositic rock serie.
